About Dr. Sheetal Patil
Dr. Sheetal Patil is a board-certified orthodontist and recognized authority in airway-focused orthodontics, specializing in the improvement of sleep-disordered breathing through craniofacial and skeletal orthodontic intervention.
With over three decades of global dental experience across India, Jamaica, and California, Dr. Patil brings exceptional depth and perspective to patient care. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, completed advanced orthodontic training at Jacksonville University, and previously earned a Fellowship in Craniofacial Research at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Dr. Patil has completed Part I toward Mastery in Dental Sleep Medicine and is currently completing Part II, advancing toward Board Certification in Sleep Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of maxillary constriction, craniofacial growth imbalance, airway insufficiency, and functional breathing disorders using skeletal expansion and growth guidance.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Patil serves on the Board of the California Association of Orthodontists, advocating for more than 1,500 orthodontists statewide, and is a National Advocacy Network Representative for the American Association of Orthodontists, representing over 19,000 orthodontists nationwide. She is also an active member of the California Sleep Society and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
A devoted mother, endurance cyclist, and public-health advocate, Dr. Patil brings both clinical mastery and human understanding to every patient relationship. Her calm confidence, thoughtful listening, and ability to translate complex airway and sleep concepts into meaningful care decisions make her a trusted partner in lifelong health.
